Lester Young (1909-1959) In the era of sax kings, Lester Young pretended to no thrones: He was the president of the tenor saxophone.

Sidney Bechet (1897-1959) First Saxophone of Jazz. Sidney Bechet of New Orleans made the soprano saxophone his personal voice.

Coleman Hawkins ( 1904-1969) He was the first to establish a jazz voice for the tenor saxophone.
