Wonderful Barbara Rosene transformed us back to the golden age of jazz in an intimate setting of Smalls. It seemed we were in someones living room or on a porch and Rosene was singing just for us.

Even if the weather is cold and wet, Jazz Nights are always fun and full of surprises. Yesterday I wondered into a Zinc Bar, which wasn’t too crowded and I was lucky to hear the wonderful Lara Bello. She was dancing and singing and her voice and music were magical. Lara Bello writes her own lyrics and maybe I will be able to use them here. Keep checking for updates!

Smalls is a great jazz club hidden underground in Greenwich Village. It is a small place that even on Monday night is full of jazz aficionados. Freddie Bryant and The Ari Hoenig Group were playing last night and both were fantastic.
